Petroleum Geologist and former commissioner, National Hydrocarbon Commission

ALFREDO E. GUZMAN is a Mexican petroleum exploration geologist whose accomplishments in public service include his appointment as one of the original commissioners to the National Hydrocarbon Commission (CNH) in 2009. During his career in Pemex, he had the opportunity to serve as vice president of exploration and as the vice president of the Northern Strategic Business Unit.

During 200809, he was an officer of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), serving as President of the Latin American Region and Regions Vice President.
